AN EARLY THANKSGIVING IN TUSCANY

On the Saturday before Thanksgiving we traveled to Tuscany to celebrate a little early with our friends from Boston.

Here's the turkey before it was baked....all 33+ pounds and huge thighs!

then it was put in the wood oven...

And amazingly, after just TWO hours, it was ready!

And then 24 of us sat down together at this beautiful table...

I love this little turkey candle holder!

Gorgeous turkey-I'm not sure I've ever seen on that large!

Barb,

That was a wonderful, classically decorated table. The turkey looked awesome! We had two large turkeys because of the number of people coming over, but it did not look that good!

Wonderful pictures!

Wow! That is one huge bird! I bet it was incredibly fresh and tasty. When we lived there we did not see a whole turkey in the supermercato but my guess is this one came directly from the farm! Yum!
