TAX DAY - A NEW BEGINNING
We've never dreaded April 15th, mainly because we don't make enough money to have to pay painfully large sums to the IRS. Still, moaning about the IRS and 'tax day' is something everyone does, even if they're only joking. For us April 15, 2010 will be an amazing day, and the fact that it's tax day will barely register. Today will be the first day of the next chapter in our lives. We're not sure what incredible adventures await us, but we're ready to tackle this new challenge with enthusiasm! Stay tuned to see what happens next!

Tax day is only a problem if you are an accountant and have to work! More painful is waiting for Good Friday to come after April 15th in order to get the day off! How long before you move out of your SOLD house and leave Umbria?
Whoa, Barb! You all left yesterday and this morning we had an earthquake at 4 AM. Coincidence? Do we believe in coincidences as tightly designed as that?
Barb - I can't wait to see what fun adventures you and Art find. Will you be staying in Europe? Traveling there or stateside? Settling down a while somewhere? I know you'll keep us all posted!
An earthquake??? Where was it centered? Guess we left just in time!
Melissa, altho we have returned to the states we plan to do LOTS of traveling - both here and in Europe.
Gil, we closed on the house on Monday, the movers came on Tuesday, and yesterday, Wednesday, we flew back to the states! It happened so quickly we haven't even had time to absorb it all!
Barbara, It seems that you got out just in time. I read that the volcano erupting in Iceland has really messed up air traffic. You didn't waste any time leaving the house after the closing!
Welcome back to the states Art & Barbara! Hopefully we can figure out how to see each other from time to time now that we are both on the same side of the ocean!
Barbara and Art congratulations on being persistent with your dreams. You missed an earthquake and your flight left before most major European airports were affected by lceland's volcanic ashes.
I am happy for you, however, I will miss your daily posts on all things Italian. I hope you will keep writing about your travels. Welcome home to the States.
Patience
thanks Patience - I'll try to keep blogging when I have something interesing to write about!
Rosemary, I have a feeling that even tho we're on the same continent it stil won't be easy getting together - but we'll certainly try!
Gil, we didn't plan everythinhg to be one-two-three like it was, it just worked out that way. And you're right - we're lucky we got out when we did - the number of flights that have been cancelled is unbelieveable!
